Well, I finally have a good excuse to talk about a terrorism case. Seems the Scottish authorities have suddenly discovered some evidence that makes them want to interrogate a bunch of East German Stasi agents about Lockerbie! #ButNothingsHappening thelocal.de/20190321/forme…
Something triggered the Scottish prosecutors in June of 2018 to start seeking information from these retired Stasi agents who were East Germany's secret police. 
Other articles point to interest in Libya connected evidence, but obviously that will remain vague until indictments or trial if they happen. But to triggering a 30 year cold case that had lots of shady political maneuvering over 3 decades in surprising.
There are decades of stories pointing to evidence that Libya was set up as the fall guy with various other nations allegedly involved in the attack including East German & Iran. Some claim Libya was pressured to confess to help hide the bigger story.
Libya faced sanctions for it's terrorist sponsorship from before & after Lockerbie. But they had an ally who was able to help them find ways around the sanctions, Marc Rich & Glencore. Rich made his fortunes setting up money laundering schemes to hide sanctions violations...
