New from the House Oversight Committee — Rep. Cummings is demanding more information from the White House, says Jared Kushner's lawyer admitted he communicated with people overseas using WhatsApp
How does Kushner preserve records of his communications? His lawyer told the committee he takes screenshots and forwards them to his official White House email account or the National Security Council.
Does Kushner use WhatsApp to discuss classified information? His lawyer, Abbe Lowell, told the committee "that's above my pay grade," according to today's letter from Rep. Cummings.

More details —

A security officer delivered the report to Rod Rosenstein's office this afternoon. It was quickly relayed to William Barr.

The report is described as "comprehensive," but it's unclear how long it is.
After that, Stephen Boyd went to Capitol Hill to inform the judiciary committees. Then Brian Rabbitt called Emmet Flood in the White House counsel's office.
Robert Mueller has not officially stepped down as special counsel. He remains in place as the office wraps up its work.

NEW: House Oversight Cmte. Chairman Cummings says in letter to WH counsel that Jared Kushner's attorney said in a Dec. 2018 meeting that Kushner "has been using the messaging application WhatsApp as part of his official White House duties to communicate with foreign leaders."
Kushner's attorney said that Kushner takes screenshots of the WhatsApp communications and "forwards them to his official White House email account or to the National Security Council," according to Chairman Cummings' letter.
When asked whether Kushner has ever used WhatsApp to discuss classified information, Kushner's attorney replied, "That's above my pay grade," Chairman Cummings says in letter to White House counsel.

Cummings requests more info by April 4.

1/ It can be tempting to regard Jared Kushner as a little twerp, an undeserving nebbish who bought his way into Harvard yet somehow gets to boink Ivanka and also run the country. Let’s put that stupid narrative aside.
2/ Kushner is arguably the most egregious lawbreaker & evildoer in all of Trump’s Cell Bock D of an administration. He is more criminal mastermind than schlemiel. Not a GOOD criminal mastermind, but still. What is already publicly known is enough to convict him many times over.
