John Minford, #SunTzu 4:12 - 15, "12 - To lift autumn fur is no strength; 13 - To see sun and moon is no perception; 14 - To hear thunder is no quickness of hearing. 15 - The skillful warrior of old won easy victories."

Today's focus is on #SunTzu 4:14.

Strength and sight, as we've discussed them in verses 12 & 13, lead to some stunning epiphanies, to be sure. Hearing Thunder has even stranger twists and turns. Buckle up, here - hear - we go!

We've discussed yin and yang, a little. They have infinite applications, and almost infinite symbols by which they are represented. I particularly like the image here.

A far simpler couple of symbols are just a solid and a broken line:

Solid -------,
or broken --- ---.

The very best introduction you'll find to the use of solid and broken lines is to be found in yet another ancient book from China. It is called the I Ching, and its beginnings recede back and back, past recorded history. The book is, itself, something of a myth.

Our translator has published his own version of the I Ching, and I have yet to immerse myself in it. As you'd expect, I own seemingly countless versions, and my own hands down favorite is by Alfred Huang:

I don't, by the way, necessarily recommend studying the I Ching. It takes kind of a special taste. Many students I've coached have attempted, and simply gotten nothing out of it at all. Others, oh my, find truth, beauty, light, goodness and wisdom for life in it.

What’s all this got to do with hearing thunder and how that capability is no quickness of hearing? I’m almost there! After the solid and broken lines for yang and yin are understood – there’s actually a great deal to learn – the Ancient Chinese stacked them up into 8 symbols.

Here they are:

1) Earth
2) Mountain
3) Water
4) Wind
5) Thunder
6) Fire
7) Lake
8) Heaven

By now, such lists should start to be a bit familiar, yes?

Just to give you a small flavor of the I Ching, you can pick any of those 8 and stack it up on top of any other, and you'll have one of the 64 symbols it is comprised of. Let's just stack #8, Heaven, on top of #5, Thunder. The ancient Chinese observed that lighting fell.

In one of the chapters, I can't remember which, there is a wonderful observation how people are at first frightened when lightning strikes and then, following, thunder claps. But then, afterwards, there is relief and people tend to laugh. What a wonderful observation, isn't it?

I hope it might be obvious by now that that is precisely what happened yesterday, 24 March 2019, with the Barr Letter, describing the Mueller Report. Lightning struck. Thunder clapped. And all the Democrats and MSM were petrified with fear, while we in #MAGA laughed and laughed.

One more twist here, before we return to Master Sun's point in verse 14, for you computer whiz kids, did you know the I Ching, with its solid and broken line is the actual basis of binary code, and the binary algebra it comes from? Yep, the great Leibniz studied it copiously.

Actually, everyone needs to feel the power of that fact. All of today's technology roots to binary algebra, created by one of the West's greatest philosopher/mathematicians, as a result of his study of an ancient Chinese mystical book. History flows strangely, doesn't it?

That journey brings us back to Master Sun. There can be no doubt that today's verse is, absolutely, a reference by Master Sun to his own studies of the I Ching. Deeper and deeper we happily go. We can actually know what he (or the composite of writers comprising "him") studied.

Do you experience ideas as lightning striking from the heavens above? Do you hear their sound as loud as thunder clapping? Do you know how to use mental, emotional and spiritual clarity to wipe out all confusion? Can you hear the thunder?

It's certainly no quickness of hearing! But, how many of us cannot listen, and like King George III refuse to hear? Have you recently read our Declaration of Independence? If it has a single complaint, it is that King George refused to hear. He did not hear our thunder.

Did you see the FOX News poll over this past weekend giving Biden and Sanders the lead in the Democrat pack, and stating that either would readily defeat Trump in 2020? Wait, where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, crooked polling in 2016. The polls lied.

Polling more Democrats than Republicans, the very purpose of the polls was to dampen the sound of #MAGA thunder. So it is again. It makes me laugh. It makes me spitting angry, but it makes me laugh.

Let's finish up with you. If you can hear the thunder of your destiny speak, as I assume you can, what is your role in making America great again? What is your contribution? Can you help your friends clear the wax out of their ears so they too can hear our thunder?

Final point. Remember that hearing thunder is the sound of victory, victory as easy as hefting autumn fur or seeing the sun and moon. Victory, when you know what it is, requires no quickness of hearing. It just asks that you listen. Then no hesitating, act.
