Nothing has improved my life more than having a morning routine. Wake up at 6, pray, shower, get dressed, have coffee, review yesterday and plan today, all so I’m done right before my daughter wakes up so I can be fully present to her and not irritated that she woke me up. 10/10.
Also, the MOST important thing: I do not pick up my phone until all of this is done. Scrolling social media in bed is literally the worst way to begin your day.
Imagine having an alarm clock that screams bad news and depressing thoughts to you every morning. That’s what it’s like when you spend your morning checking social media in bed. Begin your day with a panic attack!
Easiest way is to get a real alarm clock, put a list of your routine next to it, and leave your phone in a different room.
PS: For my morning prayers I say the Angelus, the Little Crown, and these. Takes maybe 15-20 minutes total.
