Our family is homeless.

There are four of us. My husband, myself, and our two teenage boys.

We sleep in our car, in Walmart parking lots or rest stops.

We are on the waiting list for the local shelter and for other housing locally.

My oldest son has autism. I am permanently disabled due to an accident in 2011 that has left me unable to work. My husband suffers from crippling anxiety, depression and ptsd.

I get social security for my injury, and I worked from age 16 to my accident in 2011. (2/8)

We are still working on reapplying my son for benefits, and my husband as well. We are as connected to resources as we can be. We are connected to the schools, to dshs, and local shelters. We are still working on getting connected with possible helpful churches. (3/8)

I try to keep our lives running as smoothly as possible. The kids are taken to school each and every day, and while they are at school I am doing their laundry, scheduling showers, making doctor's appointments, cleaning the car, whatever it takes! (4/8)

Children with autism need stability, and while we don't have a home, I try to keep things as routine for the kids as possible. It may seem chaotic, our lives, but I try to add some calm to it the best that I can. (5/8)

While we are trying to get our lives together, I do have to ask for help. We need help with funds for gas, hygiene supplies, laundry supplies, and the occasional night in a room for much needed rest.
