There is an useful narcissist management dynamic in this one.
Narcissists have no real conscience so they never really feel any shame over the crappy things they do.
They do, however, feel shamed by other people looking down on them with disgust and contempt.

A narcissist cannot be talked into doing something because it’s right.
They cannot be talked out of doing something because it’s wrong.
Convince them people are looking at them with disgust though and they’ll stop on a dime; do a complete 180; and then be mad they had to.
