Just discussed this @MSNBC 2 weeks ago, both @11thHour & @Morning_Joe - this happens when President & team skirt around security procedures. Asked 2 weeks ago, how many foreign intelligence agents have been spotted targeting the administration Trump Hotel/Mar-a-Lago/Trump tower?
This is why we have Camp David, so we don't give adversaries wide open doors to conduct espionage & influence. Last night, security clearance overrides, 2 weeks ago WhatsApp diplomacy, 3 weeks ago, concerns selling access to China at Mar-a-lago
then add Trump white house - unsecure phone usage, personal email use, staffers recording each other in the White House, America looks ridiculous!
there should be BI-PARTISAN support and the intelligence committees should be requesting from @ODNIgov @SecretService a full report on the number of foreign intelligence/influence being discussed and pursued against the Trump team - UAE, Qatar, China, Saudi, Russia - all!
Counterintelligence professionals work tirelessly protect secrets, but this is only possible if POTUS & team follow procedures & use protected facilities. Imagine how many more places our counterintelligence pros need to defend with all these Trump properties - enormous $ & risk
also interesting that this person picked off going into Mar-a-lago happened just 3 weeks after questions were raised about Chinese access to Mar-a-lago. So after suspicions were raised, someone still attempted this.
