Perhaps one of the essential challenges of defining #impinv lies not in defining the impact, but rather in figuring out how to equitably share an enterprise’s profits without introducing regulatory overreach?
Put another way, I think we’d all agree that to those who take great risk, the potential for great rewards should flow. But the value of that “founder risk” gradually shrinks as an enterprise stabilizes, grows and hires.
Profits are the precondition for sustainability; without them, an enterprise - even one with an inspiring social mission - will have no impact. But HOW those profits are distributed may define the impact profile of the company even more that the company’s activities?

I wish @AnandWrites were here to experience and listen as the conversation flows. I suspect his cynicism and bitterness may be slightly moderated. Tough to remain uninspired by this group. I sure am.

I’m with @BlendedValue: time to double down on #impinv!
