To characterise those concerned about what it means to assert a right to divine and force through a "will of the people" obtained with deliberate lies and breaches of electoral law as "throwing a tantrum" should be far beneath both @TheEconomist and any respectable academic.
If you don't see the portents of fascism in what has happened in our politics in the last few years you can't have your eyes open. To mock those of us who wake in the night fearful of that future as "throwing a tantrum" is utterly shameful.
There is a prevalent and corrosive strain of self-loathing in middle class England. But that we have risen together in defence of values we hold dear - progressive, fair, decent - is the solitary shaft of light in this dark period of recent history. We should be, I am, proud.
A side wind but it's also utterly ignorant of the facts. 65% of Labour voters backed Remain - and Labour hasn't won a general election for fourteen years.
