This is really quite a disturbing addition to the Ilhan Omar case. I now completely disagree with @SarahTheHaider that Ilhan's remarks were misquoted, when Omar clearly dismisses 9/11 while simultaneously eulogizing NZ. This is deliberate - her priorities are clear.
This forms part of a pattern of behavior that in my view indicates @IlhanMN to be inadequate for public office in the USA. I cannot begin to imagine politicians in other contexts being so dismissive of national atrocities and their perpetrators
