6 Financial Lessons I learnt working with and for my Boss, Big Brother and Business Mentor who turns 60 today.
He’s an accomplished and successful businessman in all regards.

1. You may have all the billions in the world; your spouse and children should feel the impact of your wealth the most . Don’t be good outside and mean inside. Be financially responsible.

2. That a tap is flowing doesn’t meant you should keep it running. Open it when you need to fetch and close it when you are done. Don’t even let it drip. Guard your finances. That you earn or make much doesn’t mean you should spend anyhow. Apply common and financial sense.

3. True wealth isn’t flaunted. When you have it, it’d show. You don’t need to make noise. Wealth announces itself.

4. You can recycle stuffs especially when they are still good. Except you need to give it out, don’t waste money buying stuffs you don’t need because you want to impress people who don’t care.

5. There are times to spend and there are times to refrain from spending. Take care of yourself especially when you have worked so hard. Splurge on yourself mercilessly when you have to.

6. Let God be at the Centre of it all. There’s nothing you have that you have not received. Keep it sane, give glory to God and be a blessing to humanity!
