It was Bolton’s name on statement announcing USS Abraham Lincoln deployment to counter Iran last week. Was Bolton who called out Maduro backers allegedly ready to defect amid recent Venezuela uprising. And Bolton who helped scrap INF nuclear treaty with Russia.
Trump ran on a non-interventionist platform in 2016 - Iraq War was folly, time to bring back troops from Middle East, no costly foreign wars. Yet he has talked up possibility of military action in Iran and Venezuela in recent weeks.

JUST IN: Trump and Putin talked on the phone for an hour today. Venezuela, N Korea among topics discussed.
Context:

US is furious over Russia's role in Venezuela propping up Maduro and called for Kremlin to back off this week.

Putin met with Kim Jong-un last week and promised to download what happened to America.
Trump and Putin also, briefly, talked about the Mueller report.

He will argue it poses a risk to British citizens, could undermine privacy and put future US-UK partnerships in doubt.
