Some data from the beta phase of the Settled Status programme:

gov.uk/government/pub…

1/
Just over 200K applications in public beta. Of those decided, all got either settled or pre-settled status

2/
That's fine, but rest of report does raise some issues.

Firstly, substantial minority of people unhappy with process in some way (c.15%)

3/
App largely worked, but have to assume these figures will worsen as those less-confident about using it and/or with suitable devices kick in on full roll-out

4/
Reviews largely resolved, and form amended

5/
But big stand-out was volume of support provided. 62K phone calls and 14.5K emails. That's 38% of total applicant volume

6/
If we extrapolate to the 3.5m+ EU citizens currently in UK, that means 1.3m+ interactions (and possibly more, as less-confident individuals get to applying)

7/
Overall, report paints +ve picture, but clear that scaling to full roll-out will be a substantial undertaking.
