When God allows you to hear a testimony from the lips of one who has experienced his faithfulness, do listen intentionally. The way it works is this, when you come up against a situation and you start praying the HolySpirit will bring to your remembrance all Jesus said to you.
He made you hear that testimony so that as you pray you are quickened as the HolySpirt searches all you know to connect you with the answer to your present situation. A rhema word is that specific word for a situation prerequisite being regular storage in your mind with scripture
Whatever the Holy Spirit shows you in prayer is what you should do and not the suggestions of men. At this stage you need no man to teach you but as the anointing teaches, abide in him. That is where God's strength is. Do not follow human suggestions be holding lying vanities

The reason why when we look through the prism of our Pentecostal theology there appear to be fewer demons in Europe and the western world operating in witchcraft is that many of the things we attribute to demons is a result of poor planning, mental laziness, lack of skill...etc
A building collapses people die, we say spiritual forces were on the attack & not think about the foundation of the building and the science behind the construction. Demons are not as powerful as we attribute them to be. We have given them too much glory. They are not as involved
We have said our failure in national growth is based on strong spirits at work. Nations like Malaysia, UAE put certain principles in place and they began to experience growth, did those demons just decide to leave them? Is it that the demons just prefer Africa for some reasons?

Prayer is calling upon your "senior partner" in a covenant relationship to use his vast resources to cover up and help you in an area where you are weak. This is why when our weaknesses get apparent to us, it is only an opportunity to experience God in our lives.
This is the reason why Paul said I now take pleasure in my weaknesses, infirmities, necessities, for God had said to him "my grace is sufficient for you in your weak areas shall my strength be made perfect." It is the dynamics of a covenant relationship where there is an exchange
Our confidence, when in need, to call upon His help rests upon we keeping our part of the covenant. This part is what David discovered which is the offer up praise continually unto Him which is the fruit of our lips giving thanks. Never should we be found murmuring or complaining

Giving up is the great sin. Everyone who is walking the path, fulfilling their dreams have had to at one point walk through a valley where the pressure to quit was real. Many have thrown in the towel at this place even though there were hidden opportunities to do great things.
Those who have walked the path will tell you it is never as bleak and bad as you think. The path to success is very close to you.
The consistent pursuit of a thing with a focused mind where your thoughts are regularly and in a periodic manner consciously directed at the end game is the secret to the law of the Spirit of life which puts you over any obstacle.

I'm rapidly approaching the end of four challenging, fun, exhausting and altogether worthwhile years at university studying Spanish. I'm also blind and have pretty intense access needs that must be met in order for me to be successful.
I'm going to look at some of the strategies I've used in order to make it through university. It hasn't been stress free, but the end is in sight and for the most part I've had a good time.
Firstly, the biggest piece of advice I can give to disabled students is to know what your access needs are. This sounds obvious, but for the longest time I read in a certain format just because that's what I'd always been given.

1/ I haven’t posted in a while, as I struggle through the Mueller report and sit slack-jawed before the great reveal of American depravity on TV.
2/ For the last 3 years, one of the most painful features of Trumplandia, for me, has been the craven support offered the lout by prominent Evangelical pastors. I am not prominent, but I am an evangelical believer, & I am so not buying the “sent from God” theology about the Don.
3/ It’s probably good advice not to confess the sins of others, or, as our brothers and sisters in 12- step work nicely put it, “don’t take other peoples’ inventory.”

Having finished The Authoritarians, it's time to start a new thread of #IanLivetweetsHisResearch. Today I am finally getting past the introduction of How Propaganda Works by Jason Stanley.
Having slogged through some proper academic writing in my day, Stanley's writing is blessedly accessible. But after Altemeyer's light tone and constant dad jokes, Stanley's reads as pretty dry.
So far the introduction is full of a lot of quotations about the nature of democracy, from Victor Klemperer to Elizabeth Anderson to Plato. OF COURSE Plato.
