For decades in hip-hop Most rappers enter the scene bragging about how much dope they sold.
Master P. called himself the Ice Cream Man
Jeezy was the Snowman
T.I. was the Rubberband Man

But BTNH would REPEATEDLY get on songs and talk about how they sell fake drugs. Most people didn’t notice it because they rap so fast.

The most hilarious example of BTNH talking about selling Dummy Sacks comes in ‘Notorious Thugs’. We’re so busy praising Biggie for one of greatest adaptation of flows of all time that we forget that Krayzie bone said this on the same song...

While everyone else in Hip-Hop has Scarface dreams this man is admitting to selling fake drugs. PROUDLY 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣The audacity! For the record. Krayzie’s bones ENTIRE verse on ‘Notorious Thugs’ is fcking journey.
He starts by doing a shot of Thunderbird then is off to rob people

After robbing this person Krayzie Bone takes the money and buys some weed to “ease his mind” he then swigs MORE Thunderbird and goes back in the streets to sell fake drugs. But that’s not the funniest part of the verse.

In the VERY NEXT BAR Krayzie bone says this…

But under BTNH the Dealer/Addict dynamic shifts to.
A: Hey, you sold me fake dr-- GUNSHOT *addict bleeds out on the pavement*
Bragging about selling REAL dope is canon in hip-hop lyricism. Which is what makes what BTNH did so fcking hilarious.

I understand that this came from a need to eat. I get the struggle part of these lyrics but then he made a song call "Mr. Dummy Man"
