This is quite a letter of resignation from a former Labour minister - the full excoriating text is in the thread 🔥🔥🔥
Quite
It's shocking when you read the case against Corbyn's leadership plainly laid out. The wrong leader for the wrong time - unbending, factional, at times cowardly - and a huge waste of youthful enthusiasm around socialist ideas. Labour should have been preparing for a landslide now
It's pretty obvious that a leader was needed who was further to the left than New Labour. But bringing in the far left - old-fashioned, intolerant, anti-European - was a huge strategic error. Wrong answer to the right question
Labour needed a Pep Guardiola but brought in Jose Mourinho instead. As much as it pains me to say that!
What a waste of years for Labour - with the enthusiastic young activists wasting their time having to defend the crusty, intolerant old leaders when they could have been putting their energy into progressive policies. Forget the party, it's terrible for the country
