Councillor Roderic O'Gorman opening proceedings says the Greens are running 82 candidates in #LE19. Party has 12 sitting councillors and wants to take back seats in Galway, Cork and Clare as well as take new seats in the likes of Kildare and Westmeath.

A divide between me and many of the people who follow me on social media is the claim that "toughness" in its various forms will fix it. Tough questions, tough follow-ups, keep asking, call him a liar to his face, next reporter called on asks the question he did not answer, etc.
About the White House briefing, press conference, follow-ups, rules of the game, etc. They — the people running the joint — have the power to break it, and they broke it. This is what they chose to do. The press can try to make broken rituals work, but reality has its claims too.
Origins of the White House press corps: Reporters in the late 19th century would hang around outside the building and buttonhole visitors as they came and went so as to ask them what's up. Then an aide had an idea: invite them in and give them a room to work from. A fateful step.

Why has there been such a shockingly poor response from the Green Party to #AimeeChallenor crisis? Maybe the fact that all their internal communication representatives on GP Executive Committee are transgender (non-binary) trans activists has something to do with it.? 1/6
Molly Arthurs, Lee-Anne Lawrance & Tom Pashby job-share the role of “Internal Communications Co-ordinator” on the Green Party Executive (GPEx). All three identify as “non-binary”, and call themselves “they”. The GPEx is “responsible for the day to day running of the party” 2/6
So the people who control internal comms at the #Greens also control the narrative re the important Qs raised by the #Challenor crisis. This may explain why @CarolineLucas’s article failed to understand the sex-based exemptions in the Equality Act, or engage with concerns 3/6

1. Debate over the Electoral College is typically driven by liberals resentful of the fact that the Democratic Party would have won four of the last five elections had winning the popular vote been all that was necessary. As it is, it has won two of five.
2. Less attention is paid to a couple of things I want to talk abt today. One is the EC offers opportunity to foreign powers to violate our sovereignty. Our republic functions on trust. That trust springs from knowledge that the people chose our fates by choosing our leaders.
3. But with a presidency decided by margins in states like Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, all that’s needed is blasting the electorates of those states with all manner of lies, propaganda and bad faith.
