Jesus is trending on twitter. One of the cool things about social media is using it to share truth. Here are some things you need to know about Jesus:

1. He is the eternal Son. The theological language is eternally begotten of the Father. Not created. 100% equal to the Father.

Jesus is the creator and sustainer of the Universe.

3. Jesus is the Messiah that permeates the Old Testament Scriptures.

4. 2,000 years ago Jesus took on human flesh in the womb of a virgin named Mary. Conceived by the Holy Spirit the infinite One became an infant.

5. Jesus took on 100% humanity. He therefore has 2 natures in one person. This is called the hypostatic union. 100% God and 100% man. He has a real human mind, body, soul, will etc. He gave up nine of His Divine nature in becoming human.

6. Jesus was born in humility, laid in a manger.

7. Even in His humble birth His glory could not be hidden. Shepherds and Wise Men worshiped Him. Angels gloried in His arrival.

8. Jesus grew up an obedient child. He never sinned.

9. As an adult Jesus remained sinless. He was obedient to God at every point in thought, motivation, and deed.

10. Jesus healed people. Raised people from the dead.

11. Jesus taught people. He taught a literal Adam and Eve. Marriage between 1 man and 1 woman for life.

12. Jesus taught that He was the messiah and fulfillment of the Old Testament Scripture.

13. Jesus called on people to repent of their sins. Religious people. Poor people. Rich people. All people.

14. Through all of this Jesus continued to never sin.

15. Jesus went to the cross as a Roman criminal. He who knew no sin was beaten and nailed to wood.

16. On the cross the Jesus continued to represent His people perfectly. The Father imputed their sins to the Son. He bore our sins and became sin on the cross.

17. Jesus was a substitute. God poured out His wrath on Christ. Jesus was treated by God like a theif, liar, glutton, homosexual, adulterer, etc. He literally took on these sins of His people and received the full brunt of God’s wrath for them.

18. Jesus died.

19. Jesus was buried and laid in a borrowed tomb.

20. To prove His divinity, victory, and completed work, Jesus rose again on the third day.

21. Jesus rose bodily.

22. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.

23. Jesus appointed apostles to proclaim His gospel and teach His church.

24. These apostles wrote 27 books that we call the New Testament. Their words are Christ’s words and have no less authority than His.

25. Jesus is coming back to judge the nations for their sins.

26. When Jesus returns all liars, cowards, murderers, sexually immoral, will be thrown in the lake of fire forever in eternal conscious torment.

27. There is no escape for sinners except by taking refuge in Christ. You must come to Jesus in faith

28. Trusting Jesus in faith is believing He is who He said He is and that He alone is your only suitable and all sufficient savior.

29. By faith alone in Christ alone we revive the perfect righteousness of Jesus. Our sin was imputed to Him & His righteousness is imputed to us

30. Christ is glorious! He is infinitely wise just sovereign holy powerful etc. The whole earth is full of His glory!

31. Jesus will be your Savior today if you will look to Him in Faith. You don’t deserve Him. You’ve sinned against Him. But His work is sufficient for all!

32. Jesus loves His Bride. Those who love Him, love the local church. Find a church where Christ is rightly preached.

33. Those who love Jesus love to follow His Word. They love to pursue holiness not for its benefit but delight.

34. So much more could be said. Read the gospel of John.

35. One day every knee will bow to Jesus. I hope you will bow the knee today in hope and join
