Under #Socialism, multiple families share the same single-family house or apartment and private individuals do not own cars. The capital of capitalists is not used to exploit labor but to pay wages and purchase capital goods for the purpose of raising the productivity of labor.
The effect of the capitalists’ activities is higher wages and lower prices. To learn more about the productive functions of businessmen and capitalists, go to amzn.to/2PM19ut and buy and read my Capitalism: A Treatise on Economics, especially Chapters 11 and 14.
#Socialism If $9.99 is too expensive, then go to Amazon at amzn.to/2N44uTu and for 99¢ buy and read my essay below, on Marxism/Socialism.
Under #socialism, the state is a universal monopoly employer, with no reason to pay more than subsistence wages, and no ability even to do that, because it has no profit/loss incentives, no freedom of individual initiative, and no competition.
#Socialism also lacks the ability to plan the economic system, which depends on prices, which in turn depend on the profit motive and competition, both of which in further turn depend on private ownership of the means of production.
For proof of all this, see the books referenced above, especially chapters. 6-9 of Capitalism.
