More recent reporting on UFOs, in the Washington Post. There's something happening here... what it is ain't exactly clear... washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
Both these stories came about due to documented government efforts to suppress evidence of UFO sightings. Which is exactly what "conspiracy theorists" had been insisting for decades! Harry Reid got an earmark for a secret Pentagon program specifically to investigate UFOs!
I have some theories about the reason for this recent spate of UFO stories -- which would've been dismissed as crazy talk not long ago -- but I'm not going to publicize them right now, because they'll inevitably come across as kooky. So, biting my tongue for the time being

I normally ignore this troll, but he's outright lying. Fabricating facts. I wasn't fired from TYT. I've never gotten paid by Fox News. Check with both of them. I'm sure he'll pass it off as "Joking," but this person works for @Gizmodo, an ostensible journalism outfit. @thetomzone
I know the Extremely Online Ironic Style is super cool and subversive, but outright fabricating facts -- demonstrably lying -- would seem to cross a line. You know, if you're supposed to be a journalist or whatever. I guess my conception of journalism could be outdated, however
I get criticized all day, every day. I'm fine with that. Comes with the territory. But journalists simply making up facts to publicly smear me is different. I always thought journalists were not supposed to fabricate facts. Weird. I don't care how Funny and Ironic Online you are.

I guess Sam Seder's esteemed producer @MattLech is unaware that Greenwald has ruthlessly attacked @emptywheel for her deranged and unethical behavior. Here are some examples. My favorite is the video where he openly mocks her. Enjoy!

Here's a response I received to my earlier tweet about @PolitiFact's uncharacteristically indecisive treatment of the Charlottesville hoax.
It echoes this piece from @BillKristol and @SykesCharlie's e-rag. The claim is that Trump was factually mistaken--that no one other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists was present in Charlottesville to oppose destroying the statues. thebulwark.com/the-charlottes…
There are two problems with this. First, it's a motte-and-bailey maneuver. "Trump made a factual error" is totally different from "Trump sympathizes with neo-Nazis." The latter is the claim Trump's detractors have made ad nauseam since 2017.

As late as the mid-1970s, liberals believed another era of left-leaning government was around the corner. When Ted Kennedy fought to kill Richard Nixon’s milquetoast national health care plan, it was under the assumption that something much better would come soon.
While the recession and oil shocks that began in 1973 put a damper on this, liberals did not believe the fundamental equation of American politics had changed. They had a lot more they wanted to do. One goal was to move toward full employment.
