If you are going to burn a bridge, do it silently.

No need to get emotional.

Just distance with grace.
'Well, why would I want to do that? I want to let them have it!'

Because then you are making an emotionally unintelligent decision.

'I am??'

Yep.

Let me explain why...
You have 2 worlds:

The external world.
The internal world.
The external world is your environment.

The internal world is your mood.
Whenever you allow the external world to dictate your internal world, you have made an emotionally unintelligent decision.

Whenever you allow the external world to have no impact on your internal world, you have made an emotionally intelligent decision.
Burning bridges is necessary in the social world.

'Why?'

Because there will be many people who do not align with your values.

But you want to be STRATEGIC with bridge burning, not wreckless.
Few rules for bridge burning:

-Verify it was malice, not a mistake.

Malice is when someone had a harmful intent towards you. Mistake is when someone did not have a harmful intent towards you.

-Have proof.

Don't go by he said she said stories. Have absolute proof.
If those 2 check out, then exit gracefully.

No need to confront them & waste emotional currency.

Instead, use that emotional currency to invest in yourself.
But here is a bonus effect...

Cutting them off so gracefully will drive them insane.

They will wonder what they did & why you did not confront em..

Get it?

Being unaffected is a superpower.

Don't let people who pull you down get any reaction.
Burn your bridges with toxic people & build new ones over its ashes.

That's how you play the game correctly.

Don't ever waste your energy again.
