I wish it were possible to go back in time and tell myself as a scared child with no food, living in an unheated apartment full of cockroaches, "When you grow up, you will live in a house where the roof doesn't leak...
...and no one will threaten to hurt your cats, and you'll be able to pay their vet bills without starving yourself, and the backyard will have strawberry plants and tomatoes and blueberry bushes and apple trees, and all that food will be free and yours."
Honestly, I would find that idyllic future harder to believe in than the time travel.

Okay, @UrsulaV we have a new dawn chorus member, it makes a long, drawn-out note followed by a series of trills, it's very loud and I hate it. Thoughts?
I have found a YouTube video of Seattle-area birdsongs. Elsie is climbing the walls.
We've done a pretty good job of creating backyard bird habitat. I recognize most of these.

I think someone is maliciously watering my tomatoes.
Seriously. We have two pots out front, and one is not thriving. Mom has been watering them the same, but the one that isn't thriving regularly has standing water in it. I think someone's been dumping things into the pot.
Checking the drainage has been suggested; Mom is now drilling holes in the pot.

One of the ongoing issues I'm seeing with ADA access at larger conventions is the conflict between equality and equity. If a chair is made available to me, shouldn't chairs be made available to EVERYONE?
Well, yes, because humans are breakable things and there are a lot of reasons someone may need to sit down that aren't related to disability. But I understand that thousands of chairs aren't always practical.
So why should I get a chair if I'm outright saying that not everyone can have a chair? How about because my left foot isn't weight-bearing, and if I stand for too long, I'll start to scream uncontrollably?
