Roger Stone former aide Andrew Miller testified to a grand jury Friday about Stone’s schedule and movements at the 2016 Republican National Convention, and said that he knew of no relationship between Stone and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. wapo.st/2HNzdUD
"Based on the questions today in terms of what Mr Miller knows about Mr. Assange, it would seem that there could very well be a continuing investigation" of Assange's role in the 2016 leaks of Democratic emails hacked by Russian intelligence operatives, Miller's attorney said...
.. "But it's hard to see what evidence, what testimony Mr. Miller provided that leads them to that conclusion," Miller attorney Paul D. Kamenar said. "But they are still continuing, this grand jury as I understand it."
The days of the mid-July RNC convention were of intense interest to investigators. Michael Cohen, former personal attorney to Trump, has alleged that during that period, Trump was called by Stone alerting him to WikiLeaks' imminent release of emails damaging to Hillary Clinton.
WikiLeaks posted thousands of internal Democratic Party emails by the week's end. Fleshing out the details of Stone’s activities around the time could fill blanks in investigators’ understanding of what Trump or those around him knew or thought of WikiLeaks’ or Russia’s plans.

ATTN Mueller grand jury watchers. Roger Stone aide Andrew Miller testified last week before a different grand jury, one that was empanelled last year, NOT 'the' Mueller grand jury formed July 6, 2017 and the one that indicted Stone....
The reason is unclear, but means the investigation may be able to continue longer since grand juries normally can serve only up to two years....
That may be significant for the mystery foreign financial institution fighting a Mueller subpoena. The DC Cct today declined to reveal more about the firm, writing that it accepted the government's request for secrecy "at least while the grand jury investigation is ongoing." That
condition could soon change (unless that investigation too is moved.) And while the co is barred under a lower court order from public comment, the DC Circuit said: "We take no position at this time on whether the ... order is lawful or may be challenged (or by whom)." ht @rcfp
@rcfp I should have said, D.C. Cct today ordered the release of a lot more docs in mystery company subpoena fight but upheld SOME redactions while g.j. remains underway. rcfp.org/wp-content/upl…) rcfp.org/wp-content/upl
