Some quick thoughts about #TDX19. Like last year, I really appreciated the smaller size and more in-depth content. The opportunity to have in-depth conversations with folks like @garazi , @ca_peterson and all the other presenters is always rewarding and illuminating.
Having @parkerharris lead the keynote felt much more natural, but like last year, the real stars are the amazing roster of women like @swbjoyce @zaynelt @LeahBMH You really couldn't ask for better role models for our daughters to know they can achieve whatever they want in tech
Now our job is to make sure we make them as visible as possible, and at the same time find ways to expand @RADWomenCode & @PepUPTech so we can change those sobering statistics about the lack of women and minorities in tech - we still have a long long way to go...
Felt like there was much bigger focus on encouraging attendees to consider becoming @SalesforceDevs Architects than last year. Curious if this is driven by demand on side of people pursuing it, or customers with more sophisticated needs pushing to get people with those skills?
I found the 20 minute theater presentations to be a great source of quick, focused content that I can start working with now (though several could have easily benefited from being a 30/40 minute presentation to be honest)
Though one piece of feedback to @trailhead team - I did find the naming of the theaters to be a bit confusing on day one when trying to quickly work out which floor they were on. Be helpful to have some form of naming convention to point folks in the right direction :)
It is hard to believe Lightning Web Components were only officially launched six months ago. Not only were there several sessions about working with them directly, but also many others about topics like taking advantage of the most recent additions to JavaScript
I know of quite a few folks who are (understandably) reluctant to give up the work they done with Aura components. I get it, and I know it is painful to start over, but trust me, take the hit, convert anything in progress if you can and definitely start building new stuff in #LWC
One little nugget I had missed but learnt about at a 20 min session - a simple way to let devs re-render a VF page when LDS fires an update. Helpful if you have a legacy VF page that you really don't want to rebuild right now, but need it to stay in sync

Couple of things I didn't see - any updates on 2GP for Managed Packages? Though I did appreciate new functionality coming to implement FLS security natively in Apex - you could see how happy it made @capeterson to deliver something he had experienced as a fellow @partnerforce ISV
I was also hoping to see more about how we can bridge the gap for declarative developers to use DX more easily. The folks I asked acknowledged the gap, but were there solutions I missed that would help create and manage scratch orgs without needing vscode and/or command line?
Many thanks to @hollygfirestone @malloryranahan and all the team for their work in organizing so many opportunities for the MVPs, Watching Mallory trying to keep us all in place for the group photo was a masterclass in how to herd the MVP cats :)
Finally, #TDX19 really did feel like a family reunion - and so fun to see people finally put a name to a face and be so excited to meet them in person. @ericakuhl and her team have built something very special - I feel so very lucky to be a part of this amazing community.
