The Marlin ISD board of managers meeting has just been called to order. 
We're getting a little out of order at first. A motion was made and seconded but has been put on hold for the pledge of allegiance.
Board president Billy Johnson says the board will now adjourn to closed session, even though there are no items posted under closed on the agenda.
Almost an hour in closed session with conservator Jean Bahney and AJ Crabill with TEA, and here they come.
Johnson says board has motion and a second to approve independent agency to conduct investigation into district affairs and superintendent.
Board member Danny Vickers asks Eddie Ellis to amend motion to reflect board selects independent agency to investigate. "I think this is a decision that is momentous in district affairs and we as a board should be allowed to make the decisions"
Ellis declines to amend motion, says board president can choose agency. Motion passes 4-1 with Vickers dissenting.
Ellis makes motion to suspend Supt. Seabolt and Sam Sinno seconds motion to suspend and investigate any alleged misconduct. Motion passes 4-1 with Vickers dissenting again.
Johnson says Seabolt is suspended from further duty and to hand in any district property to conservator right now. He is forbidden to log into any district computers or wifi networks. He cannot be on district property with a firearm or enter any district campus or property.
Seabolt must seek permission to participate in school events or go onto any campus property, Johnson says.
Board votes 4-1 with Vickers dissenting to appoint acting superintendent whose name I did not catch.
On a roll. Board votes 3-2 with Vickers dissenting again along with Byrleen Terry to rescind authority to file lawsuit against TEA related to special accreditation investigation. Vickers says he has dissented on past 3 votes because he lacks enough information on subjects.
Board meeting is adjourned.
