I think professional/creative class Dem-allied observers are "offended" on some level, but it's highly intertwined with fakery. They're performatively offended on behalf of people who aren't themselves offended. Trump supporters are not offended in the slightest, that's 100% fake
Perhaps coastal managerial class 20-and-30-somethings on Twitter don't realize that their parochial cultural sensibilities are not shared by the rest of the country. I wonder if that impedes them from properly comprehending the political landscape in the USA. Hmm, just a theory
