Why did Hitler have such a deep hatred for the Jews in particular? Here's something I read a while ago:
So I read that Hitler hated the multiculturalism of the Austro-Hungarian empire where he was born, and identified Jews in particular with multiculturalism, because they couldn't be slotted within the ideal ethno-state world that he preferred and envisioned.
Can someone comment on this theory?

Today is my birthday. Here's a thread about the amazing reason I haven't celebrated my birthday in five years.
So it's 2013, some two and a half years into the Arab Spring. I've gone from unknown to a recognized activist. Living, out of all places in the world, in the UAE, the very country whose government was (still is) leading the assault on the Arab Spring.
I didn't want to have children. My ability to do activism, I felt, was aided by the fact that I had little to lose. Having children, I thought, would complicate the calculus of activism in 2013, in the heartland of the Arab counter-revolution.

Hello everyone. This is an update on my situation (and my team). It's also sorta an appeal for help or advice.
When you're facing the kind of threats I'm facing, it's not like someone knocks on your door and gives you bad news then walks away. It's an *entire* lifestyle change. For *everyone* around you. The way you do just about everything changes.
It's rather rare that words fail me, but right now words do fail me when it comes to expressing just how much of a mess it's been (in both the private and work realms). It was sorta kinda under control for most of May. But now it's approaching breakdown levels.
