You take a wholly irresponsible social media platform that has helped fuel anti-democratic and hate movements around the world and combine it with cryptocurrency, what could go wrong?
If you bank through Facebook...just don't.
Cannot imagine how triggering this is for Elizabeth Warren
Do you want the company that has:

-erased all privacy boundaries
-destroyed journalism
-helped propel anti-democratic movements
-lied to a a bazillion times about above

to have all your personal AND financial data?
Also consider the resources Facebook must have been putting into Libra rather than fixing any of the above problems.

Just checked into the big @Marriott in downtown Philly, where they do give you opt outs for excessive sheet and towel cleaning but

-no in room recycling
-toiletries in little bottles instead of mounted dispensers
-TV on when I enter
-temp set to a frigid 65 degrees.
Over air conditioned offices and hotels not only hurt the happiness and productivity of women ⬇️ but waste a ton of energy and emit tons of carbon. Let men take of their jackets or turn the AC up if they want but change the default theatlantic.com/health/archive…
Why should women walk around with extra scarves and sweaters and office blankets? Makes no sense, planetwise.

500 reporters went to Trump’s rally last night (per @npr)? What an insane misuse of dwindling resources.
Why do news outlets still cover campaigns in the same way they did in the ‘60s? It’s nuts.
To be clear I also don’t think 500 reporters should travel to a Bernie or Warren rally. We invented TV to be able to see things remotely. Sure, there’s some marginal value in interviewing supporters. But here too, what are we learning, really? Nothing that 50 couldn’t tell us.

EXCLUSIVE: CPS accused of failing to prosecute Far Right extremists who have used the same social media platform as Pittsburgh synagogue massacre suspect Robert Bowers.

Alison Saunders, who ends tenure as DPP today, has failed to tackle anti-Semitic hate crime, campaigners say.
Bowers - suspected of murdering 11 at the Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday - used a social media platform called Gab to post anti-Semitic hate.

He described Jews as "the children of Satan”.
Now LBC has been passed a file of British Far Right extremists, who have also posted anti-Semitic abuse on Gab.

Crypto-currency is to banking, payments and (soonish with Atomic Swaps) currency exchange – as the internet was to high-street retail, music buying, movie rental and more. It's going to change these industries. It's already beginning to change them
We have to treat cryptocurrency now as we did the internet in the 1990s to early 2000s – a new technology, a new paradigm, a game changer but we're still exploring. Like when the dot-com bubble burst, the entities that survive will be the ones that matter. The ones people trust.
