Perhaps voters are tired of having a president with low IQ (“stable genius”) and want to go as far as possible in the opposite direction.

I couldn’t care less about the sex, race, religion or political party of the next president but I would like a president who at least tries to think, listens to others, doesn’t act like a jerk and isn’t beholden to the Kremlin.
