It seems a basic understanding of the ecological fallacy isn't a prerequisite for Shadow Cabinet level briefings about electoral geography. Which doesn't bode well for Labour electoral strategy.
You can't just say "the seats we need voted Leave therefore the voters we need in those seats favour Leave". You just can't. The second thing doesn't follow from the first. Anyone with a basic knowledge of aggregate data analysis knows this.
