“In today’s political world, Republicans at the baseball game in Virginia were shot at,” judge said.
The former aide to Sen. Barbara Boxer, Sen. Maggie Hassan, and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee wanted to punish Republicans and impact a Supreme Court appointment.

Instead, he faced a criminal judge who said "You’ve got to live with five felony convictions, you lose your right to vote."
