I think there's a big difference between plot as a whole & individual story moments. For me, plot is scaffolding; it gives the bits & bobs context, a place to exist & breathe
Ideally, they work together in an organic way, growing from characters and their motivations. Wanna write a cool duel? A cute coffee shop encounter? A chilled out moment on the couch? Build your plot & characters to accommodate that.
I'm a sucker for beautiful structure, but I write toward the moments that make my heart sing.

Also, like... be indulgent. Or else why are we even writing this shit?
