When you know your opponent is never gonna recant an old bad opinion and never gonna apologize, the debates turn into batting practice.
Debating Biden is like playing poker against someone who never folds a weak hand. Harris was just the first to figure it out.
“Vice President Biden, you said at the last debate that you’ve never praised segregationists, But in 2003 you called Strom Thurmond’s time in the Senate a “gift” to the nation. How do you square those two statements?”

That’s an easy punch to duck—“I was speaking kindly of a colleague at a funeral, but what I said wasn’t true, and I regret saying it.” But Biden’s not gonna duck, and anyone who didn’t know it yesterday knows it now.
