Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks, who was a key strategist in the Obama-Biden campaigns in 2008 & 2013, said Biden made a mistake in not showing up. “These delegates are representative of Democrats in their communities. So many candidates are here. It was important for him to show up.”
California is the most diverse and most populous state. It's difficult to comprehend why #Biden would think it was okay not to show up. Thus far Biden has made it a point to stick to small venues of mostly white people.
This is a real error in both strategy and judgment.
#Biden's rollout in majority black #Philly was small and also mostly white suburbanites. It was a gorgeous Saturday & the whole area had been closed to traffic in anticipation of a huge crowd. And Biden's biggest applause line wasn't about him, but "Obama was a great president."
Thus far all we know about #Biden is what he's against: #M4A, #GND (while also claiming no one has been more for the environment than he has been, seeming to forget Al Gore's Nobel Peace Prize). He says the GOP will "have a epiphany" once he's in office, which is delusional.
If you think it's okay to thumb your nose at 40M Americans, maybe this is not the race for you.

TWENTY EIGHT YEARS of #ClarenceThomas (mis)interpreting the Constitution to enforce an extremist right wing POV on the American legal system. If #JoeBiden had allowed witnesses for #AnitaHill to speak, instead of making a deal with the GOP, Thomas might never have been confirmed.

Thomas has been the most far-right extremist activist justice since his appointment by George H.W. Bush TWENTY EIGHT YEARS AGO to replace the brilliant jurist #ThurgoodMarshall. There is no one more extreme to replace him, so Trump is likely happy Thomas has no intent to leave.
Everyone who voted Trump or Trump proxy voted to put extremist justices like #ClarenceThomas, #NeilGorsuch and #BrettKavanaugh on the #SCOTUS and those of us who voted against fascism now face Trump for the next 30yrs, just as we have faced Thomas for 28 and likely 10 more.
There is no keener determinant of how elections have consequences than in the appointment of Supreme Court justices and federal judges. America will be living with the Trump courts for decades. D-E-C-A-D-E-S.
