Never Trumpers are trying to pretend like they're a bloc worth catering to, but the reason they're Never Trumpers is that there's not a statistically significant number of voters who support conservative policies but don't support Trumpism.
Never Trumpers were the previously invisible faction inside the Republican party who had an ideological commitment to both (1) conservatism and (2) not following a corrupt authoritarian even if he supports conservative principles. There are like two million of them, max.
The Never Trumpers will suck it up and vote for whatever horrific candidate, in their view, the Democrats put up, but they're arguing they know which candidates have the power to convert Trumpists away from Trumpism.

There's no evidence they have any special insight into this.

The Stormy hush agreement was a complicated, messy deal that almost fell apart numerous times. The central problem was how to get the payment to Stormy.

And according to Cohen, Trump exec Weisselberg had "a hundred different ideas" for how to launder the money through Trump Org.
One of Weisselberg's ideas for laundering the money to Stormy, according to Cohen, was to "have a party at one of" Trump's clubs, or use a golf club membership, and then redirect the money paid to the Trump club to Cohen, who in turn would redirect it to Stormy's attorney.
According to Cohen, he was middle man in the hush money transaction, but the architect of it was the Trump Org CFO: "The amount of money that they were going to pay back was created by [Weisselberg]. How they were going to pay me the money back was created by [Weisselberg]."

According to @GOPLeader, historians are going to remember this day for the appalling lack of decorum displayed by the Speaker when she stated that the president's racist statements were racist.
.@RepSwalwell observes that it is racist to say things like "Mexcians are rapists," and GOP tries to strike it for being out of order.

Not only does the GOP want to ban calling the president racist, they want to ban calling anything racist if the president has ever done it.
GOP withdraws the objection, and Swalwell begins his litany again.

The president is accusing a congresswoman of being an Al Qaeda sympathizer, and a socialist who "hates Jews."
The president, on four congresswomen: "These are people who hate our country, I think with a passion."
After a rambling attack on how Democratic women of color in congress are anti-Semitic, hate America, and should leave the country, Trump asks the manufacturers to come up and join him on stage. Dozens of white people laugh and cheer as they circle around him for photos.

Okay, some thoughts. The effect, though "statistically significant," is also small: considerably smaller than I'd expect given my prejudices, which are firmly in the "television rots your mind" camp.
Correlation isn't causation. As they note, grudgingly. "Finally, early Mediaset viewers may have simply been more likely to know who Berlusconi was when he first ran for office,"
"or they may have been more sympathetic toward him out of gratitude for the unprecedented entertainment opportunities offered by his TV channels."

In December of 2017, a poll found that 51% of Republicans thought Obama either definitely or probably was born in Kenya. Only 19% of Republicans could say with certainty that this definitely true thing is true.
In July of 2018 a poll found that 50% of Republicans thought that the Russians either definitely did not interfere in the 2016 election or probably did not. Only 10% of Republicans thought Russia definitely sought to interfere in the election. vox.com/2018/7/19/1758…
The Republican media bubble is working its magic, and this to me is exhibit A-Z as to why Democratic politicians are fools to think they're going to lure a significant number of voters out of that GOP bubble to choose a Democratic candidate.
