I don't think that gambit will work. DOJ told Supreme Ct they had to bypass the court of appeals&have a decision by June 30. If it turns out they could have all along just printed some other forms some months later, then why did they seek to bypass appeals ct? Total contradiction

That is why yesterday I applauded both the career lawyers at DOJ + political appointees, who stood firm despite Trump's tweets. Should DOJ backtrack now, I do not see how they can have credibility in their representations to the Sup Ct. That is their most precious asset, by far.
