My book INDRA'S NET falsifies the colonial claim of Neo-Hinduism, according to which modern Hinduism was created by Indian nationalists by stating Christian ideas in Sanskrit. This issue is similar to saying India is bogus bcause it should be called Bharat.
One must choose battles strategically and not emotionally. We can easily lose sight of various urgent crises facing us if we divert energy towards dealing with less urgent semantics. Examples: I want Hindu temples back whatever you call them. I want Ram mandir...
I don't want SC fight for next X years over whether Hindu Temple Endowment Act assets can be given to some new organization which says it is not Hindu but something more technically correct.
I don't want important organizations like VHP disempowered because their Hindu name is declared not relevant to the causes we aspire. Let us channel resources wisely on what issues to address at this time.
Hinduism is a modern popular level name for the SAME thing as sanata dharma. I dont see distortion inherent in this. Hence this is not where I would pick a fight today. Let us weigh the cost/benefit. Avoid disrupting SC rulings, VHP, etc

In India I am trying to finish first edition of Sanskrit Non-Translatables book, at least the main parts. SNTs are chosen carefully as those words where the meaning gets distorted by translation, like atman = soul; prana = breath, etc. Not all words are SNTs.
