There are typically complaints about lack of Hindu material on the internet which we can use to teach our kids. As a father of a two year old, I would like to disagree. There are some committed individuals who have been developing great content for Hindu kids. A thread 1/
First up a big shoutout to the folks at @VyomaLabs : Their Shishugeetani, a collection of Rhymes in Sanskrit cover prayers to Devas, numbers, vehicles, varnamala and even translations of popular English Rhymes (Twinkle twinkle, Johnny Johnny): sanskritfromhome.in/course/sisugit… 2/
Shishugeetani, in two parts, is also available as Android Apps :
Part 1 : play.google.com/store/apps/det…
Part 2: play.google.com/store/apps/det… 3/
Next, folks at Vedika (youtube.com/channel/UCQVIh…) , who not only compose beautiful Sanskrit Rhymes but also produce delightful videos that go along with it. Our kid loves their Rhymes on
Ritu and Masas ( )
4/
on Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers in Market ()

On the different musical instruments ( )

On the seven swaras ().

Do listen to them. You will thank me later :) 5/
Moving on to Shlokas : There are a couple of videos by Shemaroo Bhakti channel that I found quite useful.
1) Shlokas for kids: : This covers Shlokas for Ganapati, Saraswati, Vishnu, Hanuman, and Guru. The videos are quite appealing to Kids. 6/
2) Mantras for Kids: : This covers the Dinacharya mantras such as Karavandana, Bhuvandana, Snana Mantra etc. It contains the Gayatri Mantra as well, which I would not recommend. We skip it. But other mantras are pretty good. 7/
Next up: Kuldeep M Pai's channel (youtube.com/user/kuldeepmp…) containing excellent Pan-Indian Hindu compositions rendered brilliantly by talented kids. Some examples:
Brahmam Okate:
Pibare Rama Rasam :

There are many more! 8/
For folks from Karnataka: Infobells youtube channels has a whole host of Kannada Rhymes that we used to sing as kids: Eg
Aane Bantondaane :
Chandamama Odi Ba:
Punyakoti:

They have Janapada Geetas as well. 9/
Moving on to movies: Two movies that I have found kids enjoying a lot

1) Ramayana : The legend of Prince Ram :

2) Krishna aur Kans:
Animated retelling of Krishna's bAlalIla. The animation & background score is ethereal. 10/
Will keep adding to this list. If you know of other good Hindu content that can be used to keep the kids engaged, please share it here.

Jai Sri Ram 🙏
