I think an explanation should be sought.
Sorry for the passive voice; I think Congress should seek an explanation.
More specifically, Congress can seek an explanation from the Civil Division AAG, Jody Hunt, and ask a number of other questions about the census case also.
And yes the relevant judges in SDNY and Maryland can and should ask these questions as well.

Not gonna lie. I’m a little tired of Twitter.
I’m less and less impressed by all the hot takes and less and less inclined to offer them.
Many debates and discussions just can’t happen here & I’ve abandoned them. I prefer to have them elsewhere like on podcasts that allow for fullness.

If there is a material difference between a “summary” and a “statement of principal conclusions,” it utterly escapes me. Barr makes no sense here.
In fact Senator Graham himself refers to Barr’s 3/24 letter as a summary in this hearing.
It seems to me that Barr’s obsession with characterizing his own letter as something OTHER than a “summary” flows from his desire NOT to release Mueller’s own summaries.

A number of people, myself included, noted that this was problematic testimony by Michael Cohen, by which he needlessly undermined his already stretched credibility. It doesn’t negate everything else he said but it’s not good.
The replies to this tweet, frankly, make me a bit sad.
Trump opponents who five minutes ago correctly thought Michael Cohen was a scumbag now reflexively defending him as a truth teller is something. He was overall credible this week. But he has a lot of problems. There’s no getting around that no matter what result you wish for.

#Congress must work for the American people and not corporate greed and lobbyists. They must fund the #ATF and require inspections of firearms dealers annually while also allowing re-inspection when they are found in violation of US Laws.
Congress is knowingly under funding the #ATF which prevents them from enforcing current US laws. Any representative insisting on additional legislation without properly funding the ATF is attacking our Constitutional Rights & using gun violence as a means to do it.

The last lawfully ratified state constitution of Pennsylvania is 1838. All the state constitutions after 1860 are NOT lawfully ratified because #Congress collapse on November 1860 when the southern nations seceded. I will remind everyone we are still under martial law since 1861.
Martial law was never lifted, there were never any peace treaties with the Independent Southern Nations after the international war of 1861. This prevented to restore congress of the southern nations & northern nations. Below I will tweet the preamble and Article I.

I get it, but my serious answer is, we need to know exactly what they are doing and exactly what we are up against. I don't think ignoring it is an option.

As long as I'm tossing out unpopular opinions that are going to get ratio'd:

I think Nigeria needs an aircraft carrier.
More specifically: Nigeria needs to BUILD an aircraft carrier.

The real goal is industrial development, of course. Aircraft carrier is a means to an end here.
Nigerian Aircraft Carrier would:
1. Unite Nigerian politicians and bureaucrats around a long-term goal
2. Create lots of spillover industries
3. Facilitate technological upgrading
4. Instill national pride and garner international respect

Start easy: the blunt awkwardness/cringe of 'Blurryface' is the point of taking the piss out of Tyler. I stand by my light 9/10.
2. I don't hate Nickelback's 'Dark Horse' - it's easily a record for them at their most tasteless, but the frat-bro swagger of it helps some of their better hooks.
3. 'Fireflies' by Owl City is a genuinely terrific song that captures precocious, starry-eyed wonderment better than few others in the 2000s.

It is SPECTACULARLY lame, but that's why it works.
