Rep. Duncan Hunter continues a pretty spectacular losing streak on pretrial motions. This time, a court finds that his "claim that the indictment as a whole should be dismissed for violation of his Speech or Debate Clause protections is wholly without merit."
The judge has some passing shade for Rep. Hunter's explanation of the reasons for a family trip to Italy.
Earlier this month, the judge ruled that DOJ can introduce evidence about Rep. Hunter's "intimate" relationships with five lobbyists and staffers and his personal finances, denied his request to have the case moved to a more Trump-friendly place, have it dropped for bias, etc.
