It's encouraging to read that these raids failed because ICE agents didn't have warrants. That means people knew their rights and didn't let the agents in.

Not a total answer - we know law enforcement routinely violate people's rights. But it IS something and it can make a whole lot of difference. Everyone should know their rights in any sort of police encounter.

Today on Rikers Island, a guard retaliated against people taking off their shirts due to the blazing NYC heat by turning off a fan.

People die in prisons and jails due to excessive heat. And due to deliberate cruelty and neglect by corrections officers.
Seth Donnelly, age 29, died of severe heat stroke in a Texas prison 3 weeks ago. His core body temperature was 106% at the time of his death; the outside temperature 100%. ktxs.com/news/local/pre…
Texas spent $7 million to fight a lawsuit that would require it to install air conditioners in its prisons. It recently settled - the cost of installing air conditioners is $4 million. At least 23 prisoners have died in Texas from heat stroke since 1998. texastribune.org/2018/08/29/tex…

Are we to believe that the crowd just spontaneously erupted in that chant? Please. Someone from the Trump campaign clearly prepped that crowd.
It's not even that he paused after it started. He paused waiting for it to begin. It was completely manufactured.
Spontaneous chants start quietly than build up steam. This was at full volume from the beginning.

And a spontaneous chant would have been something like "let them leave" not "send them back." It doesn't follow naturally from what he said. He intentionally stepped it up.

There were 3 million people deported under President Obama. They weren't criminals. It didn't happen in just one place. There is no way of spinning it to make it sound OK.
The more you try to do that, the more you lose credibility & the more you make a human rights issue about politics.

What is happening at the border is worse under Trump, but it was horrific under Obama. Pretend it wasn't if you want to feel warm & fuzzy, but it's inaccurate.
This to me says everything.

People forget that wireless customers paid a monthly fee and also paid usage and long distance charges. The average cost of a three-minute long distance call in 1984 was $1.28. People often kept their phones turned off most of the time to avoid costs. Calls dropped regularly.

As part of 226 slides presented to the SEC on our ETF filing, we did a first-of-its-kind analysis of *order book data* from all 81 exchanges reporting >$1M in BTC volume on CMC.

TLDR: 95% of reported volume is fake but LOTS of good news!
2/ First, key takeaways:

A. 95% of reported BTC spot volume is fake
B. Likely motive is listing fees (can be $1-3M)
C. Real daily spot volume is ~$270M
D. 10 exchanges make up almost all real trading
E. Most of the 10 are regulated
F. Spreads are <0.10%. Arb is super efficient

To bring a campaign-finance case, prosecutors have to show someone knew the rules and violated them willfully.
