The back legs of horses can be tough to draw. I made these simplified notes based on common mistakes I’ve seen and made myself.

Note: I’m calling the before drawings “incorrect” in an anatomical sense. If you draw them that way and like it, do you.

I know those front and back views are complicated. Here’s how I would approach simplifying and stylizing them. I’d make the outside the strong, straight lines and keep the curves of the joints on the inside
