art friends... i build my own pc from parts i buy. i know almost nothing about computers. i have only done one full rebuild in 10 years, i just swap out parts sometimes. you can build within any budget. here are resources:
- basic build video
pcpartpicker.com not every part fits every motherboard or even case. check your parts against this website, or even pick a build and buy all the parts from here
newegg.com where i buy parts from.
you can also buy used parts from ebay (be careful with that though i've never done it) and you can buy em off amazon.
A computer has never cost me over 1500$. you can build something for under 1000$ that will run photoshop/Clip studio/illustrator perfectly fine and you can even play some games on it. Mac's just a name. it's not needed to make good art. don't break the bank for it. 💖
bonus: you feel like such a badass the first time you turn it on and all works. you're like I DID THIS. I MADE THIS COMPUTER WITH MY BARE HANDS (by following a video and a bunch of websites but STILL)
also i don't want anyone to think this is a pc vs. mac debate thing because those are exhausting and they're both good computers. this is solely budgetary. if it's not in your budget, building a pc is an option! if you have budget and you like the apple computers, awesome!

the basic color wheel used to confuse me because i tend to like really desaturated colors. if you're like me you can try taking the color wheel into photoshop and desaturating it then lightening and darkening it to find your base colors.
i then mess with making one color more saturated than the others if i want saturation to be my contrast. (the browns and reds in the sirens pieces are higher saturation than the blues)
re: saturation: it is so hard to gauge. especially when you're first starting out. things tend to be less saturated than I initially perceive them to be. so as a general rule I make one or 2 colors saturated, and the rest I bump down.

Rep Jeff Flake of Arizona & Paul Hodes of New Hampshire requested release of the evidence. However, under the circumstances of this case and the risk of prejudice to any pending criminal investigation, among other concerns, the Board was unable to grant their request.

The usual disclaimer applies: YMMV, my way is not the only way, everyone's journey is different. This advice is intended for new writers seeking traditional publication. I straight up can't speak to indie/self-publishing because I don't have experience there.
1. The key to all marketing endeavors is WRITING A GREAT BOOK. For real. A book that is compelling, beautifully written, and carefully revised will snag a passionate agent, sell to a quality publishing house in a bigger deal, and receive more marketing attention. Period.

Marketing #fail of the month: I visited the big @TMobile store in Burbank, CA - planning on getting the new @oneplus 6T, but the @petelau2007 @JohnLegere love-fest is going to go sour very shortly, if my experience was any indicator.
Staff not only had zero product knowledge of the phone, but clearly didn't even care. I casually asked what the phone specs were (storage, camera), and the store associate begrudgingly took out his own phone to research the answer via the Web.
There were no specs displayed beside the only 6T in the store, shoved in a back corner. There was no @oneplus product-specific signage whatsoever. A basic rule of product marketing & sales is that you have to both #Know about your product, and #Care about it.
