1) I never knew I could love road trips until I embarked on one from Virginia to Maryland. New York to Connecticut. Connecticut to New Jersey. All three trips were a total of eleven beautiful hours. Hours dedicated to studying human emotions and behaviour.
2) When I got home I marveled at why I thought I hated road trips. Only to find out that I did because every time I heard the word 'road trip', all I thought of was road trip in Nigeria. I had apparently limited my map and experiences.
3) My question to you therefore is,

What part of your impressions about life, wealth, marriage, friendships are viewed from the Nigerian perspective?

How Nigerian are your thoughts and feelings?
4) How much of your life experiences are beclouded by your model of the world?
5) If all you create in your mind are Nigerian based, you may be welcomed by a level of cluelessness, hopelessness, helplessness and depression.

Nigerian is not the world.

1) I encountered my first intellectual shame at age 10. When I gained admission into the then prestigious Mayflower Secondary school Ikenne.
2) I had written common entrance in primary 4 and had scored well enough to gain admission but I was thrown into JSS1 Gold. A class meant for average students. While JSS1 Red, Green and Blue were reserved for students who did exceptionally well at the common entrance exam.
3) I spent my entire years in secondary school battling with this unconscious programming and writings on my wall. My school had indirectly conditioned students in the Gold, Silver, Purple, Orange and Brown classes to view themselves as not good enough.

1) A lady stormed angrily into a car shop. She was upset about the fact that she found out that the brand new car she bought an hour ago was overpriced. She could have gotten it for about $5k less somewhere else.
2) She felt cheated. She screamed and shouted till they called the cops on her. When the cops came, they listened to both parties, perused the purchase document, then reminded her of the fact that she signed a no return policy once car is driven out of the workshop.
3) She didn't listen but they kept reminding her that the sale was negotiation based. She could have received more discount if she had negotiated.

She left the car behind and raged out in an uber.

1) I read an interesting article by CHRISTA HOGAN about the EGO. Here are some learnings I thought to share with you.
2) Ego is our false self, the person we become so other people will like us, admire us, and accept us. Ego is also who we tell ourselves we are without question or who other people have told us we are.
3) Ego is that part of us that is overly preoccupied with survival, accumulation, and success. It works to build an identity that both sets us above everyone else and helps us to fit in.

The Black Lion is an older, decommissioned warbird; a holdout from the first fleets of the Garrison-Altean alliance that's been coaxed into civilian duty as a high-speed, small volume courier-transport. The crew is minimal and its missions dangerous. Its not what Keith seeks out.
He's critically important to his hive—his family—so such high risk, low body count ships aren't worth his time. But Keith loves piloting, and Captain Shirogane is charming and has an actual warbird, something he's never seen, let alone piloted. Its too alluring. He signs as crew.
