I am astounded that some are doubting if 'Allahu Akbar' has caused casualties. Some are even demanding proof! The Great Calcutta Killings aka 'Direct Action' of 16-19 August 1946,the call for which was given by Jinnah and executed by Suhrawardy claimed at least 15,000 dead.
The exact number of dead could not be determined because many corpses were thrown into the Hooghly River or thrust into manholes. !5,000 is a very conservative estimate. Interestingly,the dead were not all Hindus. During the last two days Hindus and Sikhs retaliated massively.
The Calcutta Killings were followed in short order by the Noakhali (then British India,80% Muslim,now Bangladesh) carnage,in which only Hindus were killed,estimated around 1,000. But it was more a case of destruction of property and cattle and forcible conversion than killings
I have deliberately omitted the murderous anti-Hindu pogroms of erstwhile East Pakistan of 1950,1964 and 1971 because then the 'seculars' would start bleating,"but that is in another country"! All committed with the battle cry 'Allahu Akbar',of course!
No one is says because these were done in the name of Allahu Akbar,the score should be evened with Jai Shri Ram. But its s-o-o-o disgusting to see a bunch of nowheres mouthing the lesser part of the story for cheap publicity. THOSE WHO FORGET HISTORY ARE CONDEMNED TO REPEAT IT
