Ouch ... but to be honest, most of the most vocal "centrists" that I know have never suffered from the impacts of austerity. Talk is cheap when someone else is paying the bill ->
However, such talk doesn't help as it just creates further division. The focus needs to be on defeating a combined force of Conservative & Brexit in the next general election, not on the merits of Corbyn or "what ifs" or finger waggling. Any hatchets need to be put away.
Despite the predicted catastrophe for Labour at the last election, it came close to unseating the Gov. This time, if we all row together, we can change the path this once great nation is on. It doesn't have to be tax cuts for the wealthy, more underfunding and austerity.
X : What did you think of Boris speech?
Me : Of making all of Britain great again? It was a good fiery and rousing speech but then he is an excellent orator of that form. The words are not important though ... it's the deeds and actions that matter.

... I am wary of those that use the rhetoric of hope and greatness to appeal to the desires of many but fail to act in ways to rebalance inequality and hardship. We shall see what Boris is through his own action.
X : Do you think no deal will happen?
Me : The sensible compromise was always EEA docked to EFTA. The strongest resistance to that came from remain supporting MPs. I wouldn't dismiss this path and I wouldn't assume that no deal is the goal. You have to oversteer the tanker.
