Bumping this; the entire interview was even worse, but claiming that the remark in question was a hypothetical and not an action she would undertake is irrelevant (and not even what we’re discussing here). It’s the bigotry in her presupposition “most of the deaths."
It was carefully different wording from just saying “terrorism.” It’s also irrelevant from the point I made yesterday on F&F in that jihadism isn’t based on ethnicity, it’s an ideology. Constantly looking through the lens of identity politics as she does obscures this.
I’ve read a couple of hot takes that completely miss this point.
