Hi! I don't actually have a specific recommendation, I'm afraid! I recommend a laser printer in general if you don't need to print very often but when you do you REALLY need to print, because they don't have nozzles that get clogged without regular use/maintenance. 1/2
I did get a specific laser printer, I got it because it was cheap and I needed a printer fast and that was my budget, and I kind of regret that I didn't have time to scrape up more money for one with an actual friendly user interface and not an inscrutable two digit LCD readout.

This thread is spot on but also Disney already positions its parks as destinations for childless adults, couples, groups. Again, that's not the focus! But it's good business and always has been.
I've been to Disney World many times as an adult (it was my mother's happy place) and, like. I have done things like yield a nice parade spot to someone with children and I will certainly reassure worried parents I'm not judging their kids or about to complain about them.
I do that kind of thing because I believe Disney is *for* children more than it's for me, and again, my mother took me again and again and I don't know, this might be this family's one-and-only and I want them to have a good time.

D&D players, how do you feel about the importance of Wizards preparing spells instead of learning them outright?

A - It's what makes them Wizards.
B - It's a key balance consideration.
C - Honestly take it or leave it.
D - The key thing is that the spellbook figures in somewhere
Couple of notes - one, I'm mainly aiming this at people who already know the situation and have an opinion on it. While I don't mind answering D&D questions, it's fine if you don't have an opinion because you don't know the terms being used.
And two is I'm mainly looking at this in the lens of 5E, where the distinction between prepared/learned has been diminished and everybody is "casting spontaneously", it's just a question of how often the list they cast from is generated and how often it can be changed.

As in, it's important to say that these things are morally abhorrent, but also important to point out how in terms of practical utility it makes it impossible for us to continue doing this.
Long time readers may have noticed I sometimes get lost in the weeds of how it just works out better, long-term, to be a square dealing, altruistic good neighbor than it does to be a greedy, conniving, ravenous marauder. Functional utility.
Lawyers in our legal system are called upon to defend people and conduct they find repellent, so this filing to withdraw from the defense of the neo-Nazi Chris Cantwell makes its case along two prongs, and one of them is "Look, this just isn't going to work, practically."

I was recently in the process of discerning if the ministry might be a good fit for me.

Decided no when I realized it would take longer, with more class hours, and at much greater cost, than getting my PhD in economics.

So I'm like jaded and all.

Bernie's polling is decent, but that he does the 2nd-best against Trump (after Biden) is partly an artifact of name recognition. For instance, Buttigieg polls worse than Bernie vs. Trump. But Buttigieg actually has better favorables than Bernie among voters who know who he is.
It's certainly a messy relationship. Some liberals, including Bernie, have decent (though not great) polling. Some moderates don't. But favorability ratings, which allow voters to say they don't recognize a candidate, are a better way to assess this stuff than head-to-head polls.

You have to adjust for name recognition, though. Biden, at just south of 30 percent, is still something like a 2:1 underdog. And Bernie's position at 20 percent, as I wrote yesterday, is tenable but not great.
Per the chart above, Buttigieg's position is roughly as good as Bernie's on a "polls only" basis, or maybe a bit better. Empirically, you'd slightly prefer to be polling at ~10% with low name recognition than ~20% with high name recognition.

A few highbrow beers (although there's nothing *truly* highbrow on here) creep over into wineland, but that's sort of what you'd expect.
