So... Game of Thrones. Don't read any further if you haven't watched it.
Did Bran Stark deliberately manipulate events to ensure he would be King? Even going so far as to orchestrate Daenerys' mental deterioration and massacre? Hear me out.
Firstly: Bran is a monster. We all know it's true. Arguably nearly everything that goes wrong in GoT is entirely his fault. Don't even get me started on Hodor.
So Bran is the worst. Is it so shocking that he would use his magical Three-Eyed Raven semi-precognition to gain power?
Firstly: though Daenerys always had qualities to massacre King's Landing (her tendency to make rash decisions based on raw emotion, and the propensity to burn/murder the innocent along with the guilty) her declining mental state was ultimately the trigger.
BUT WHO WAS TO BLAME?
Who is the one who told Sam to tell Jon his true identity after his relationship with Daenerys had been firmly established? (Coincidentally, this is AFTER Daenerys lets him ride her dragon - would she have given him that power if she knew he was a threat to her claim?)
BRAN.
Why now, after Jon has fallen in love, had romantic dragon rides etc, but BEFORE Daenerys loses everyone who loves her?
Why tell Jon he's banging his auntie at this pivotal moment?
In other words: who is responsible for Jon rejecting Dany when she is at her most vulnerable? BRAN.
At this critical moment, Daenerys seeks comfort from Jon, only for Jon to freak out (INCEST!) and rebuff her.
Thus her path is set.
Bran doesn't try to warn anyone about what she will do. Why not? Because for him to be King, all of his threats must be eliminated. ALL OF THEM.
And who else is a threat to Bran's ascension to the throne?
Jon Snow.
Bran successfully rids himself of both Targaryen claimants to the throne in one fell swoop by orchestrating Daenerys' downfall, facilitating the massacre, and of course, her assassination at Jon's hands.
Jon Snow ends up at the Wall once more, surrendering all his titles and claims... thus ensuring he will never be a threat to the throne.
BUT WHO SENDS HIM THERE?
That's right. BRAN THE EVIL.
There is, of course, one other person who stood in the way of Bran's evil plan.
In fairness, Varys is a threat to ANYONE who sits on the throne, but particularly to Bran. Why?
Because Varys is a noted Targaryen loyalist.
Who would he support: Bran Stark, or Aegon Targaryen?
So for Bran to succeed as King, Varys has to go.
After all, Varys has a clear and marked preference for Jon Snow, and upon learning the truth about his identity, goes so far as to attempt to poison Daenerys to put Jon on the throne.
He is betrayed by Tyrion, and he is executed.
(Incidentally Bran could have prevented the massacre of King's Landing if he had only used his magical psychic powers to ensure Varys's poison plan worked. You know, given Varys a few tips/an alibi, whatever.
Did he? Of course not. Because then JON would be the rightful heir.)
But how did Varys find out?
Tyrion told him.
How did Tyrion find out?
Sansa told him.
How did Sansa find out?
Jon told her.
How did this come about? With a little help from Bran the Evil.
"It's your choice" my arse. Clearly this is reverse psychology.
He KNOWS Sansa will blab.
BRAN is the one who successfully manipulated the Game of Thrones in the end... and won. Bran the Evil!
Confess, @Isaac_H_Wright!
If it weren't for Bran the Evil, Daenerys wouldn't have gone all firecrackers on King's Landing, Varys wouldn't be a crisp, and Jon wouldn't be freezing his bollocks off at the Wall forever, all so Bran could be King.
Bran. Is. Evil.
The End.
