People keep forgetting everything they already know.

We can't leave the European Union before November. The Tories have no workable majority left.

They have to pass a new Queen's speech and a budget this autumn.

I sometimes wonder how people spend their entire life commenting on politics and learning so little.
It doesn't matter if Boris Johnson wants an election or not. He's going to have to because he can't pass a budget.

There will be a general election this autumn because Boris Johnson can't pass a budget. It really is that fucking simple.

't matter if he wants it. GOD, your political journalism is so dumb. He really has no choice in it.
He occupies the office by royal appointment, but he can't perform the basic functions of it.

No budget, no Queen's speech. That means a general election, and that's how it is. There is no mystery about that, and any competent journalist would be pointing that out.

So we're bound to get a general election this autumn.
And that means manifestos. Boris Johnson can't control what other parties put in their manifesto.
And once the Lib Dems put another referendum in theirs, that's it. They win.

I don't mean the Lib Dems are going to win a governing majority. But they will win dozens of seats. Enough to hold the balance of majority.

And that means we get a referendum.

The only way a no deal Brexit can happen is if the country votes for it.
